Transfer Credits Information |

RCM programs have been carefully designed to be convenient, relevant, and to build on your past professional experience. The University will accept transfer credits which makes it possible for accomplished students to complete their degree/program within the shortest possible time. RCM will make proper evaluation of previous education and qualifications, and the appropriate credits accepted will be transfer into the program. There are limited transfer credits into Master and Doctoral programs.
REDUCE COSTS & DURATION Student with advanced standing higher qualifications (above the minimum admission requirement) will be granted considerable course exemption deemed equivalent to RCM's course offering, thus reduce the cost and duration of study. The total tuition fees will depend on the qualifications held and quality transfer credits granted. (see admission requirements)
COURSE EXEMPTION ROUTES RCM's student can earn academic credits in a number of ways through College Transcripts, Professional Licenses, Civil Service and Military Training Programs, Credit by Examination and Experiential Learning. The basic exemption routes are listed below: . (A). College Equivalency Credit: RCM enables student to earn academic credits for previous education, by taking account of your previous academic and professional studies (e.g. professional education and examination, Military and Para-Military Training, and Seminars attended) in occupationally-related programs. The grades of "C" or better must be earned to be eligible for transfer credits under CEC. Courses completed elsewhere after admission to Rockfield College of Management will not be accepted. . (B). Prior Experiential Learning (PEL): RCM will allows student to bring into the program quality work experience and independent learning that will earns them academic credits; Knowledge and understanding of course content acquired through experience, such work experience must be deemed equivalent to University-Level of learning, and the ability to demonstrate a balance between Theory and Practice. Student will submit an Experiential Learning Portfolio to RCM to be consider for acceptable transfer credits under PEL
RCM's Admission and Evaluation Commitee will determine acceptable credit for Prior Experiential Learning. The basis for award of academic credit under PEL are outlined below: .» Academic credit can be awarded only for the measurable learning outcomes, not the experience alone. » Academic credit can only be awarded for college level learning. » Academic credit can only be awarded when the student demonstrates to the University that the prior learning acquired had an appropriate balance of theory and practical application. » Appropriate professional faculty or the Academic Dean makes decisions regarding the awarding of academic credit for experiential learning. » Academic credit will only be awarded for transfer credit and learning when it is deemed to be equivalent to one of RCM's course offering.
NOTE: Following enrollment and prior to graduation, student must properly complete and submit an Experiential Learning Portfolio. If denied, you will be required to take those course(s) before graduating. Credits awarded for Prior Experiential Learning will appear as PA (Portfolio Assessment) on Transcripts; Letter grades are not assigned.
