Barbara is a multi-disciplinary management consultant based in Arizona, USA, with diverse background in education leadership, trade association management and government projects. Barbara held various senior positions e.g Executive Vice President and Executive Director for trade associations and marketing boards. Her corporate Fortune 500 experience includes management positions in marketing, finance and operations, and as consultant for Fortune 500 clients throughout the United States with specific emphasis in developing policy, planning strategy, and evaluating progress of projects. Completed projects with the CEO, CFO or COO of major U.S. corporations earned several top honors of distinction from the business community. As a senior officer, instrumental in changing the governing code of ethics for Arizona psychologists and the licensing process, business member of a university accreditation team, and sought fundamental changes for entry-level professional standards. Recipient of government research funds: developed the first electronic certification program among western United States agronomists. Barbara participated in trade missions outside the United States including the University Consortium with the Arizona Mexico Commission utilizing private-public sector funding. Barbara completed undergraduate and graduate studies at Arizona State University USA, MS in Business Marketing and Management. Murray has great passion for helping others learn and in particular, learning to learn. His long standing love affair with learning includes 19 years of university study as a student himself. Among others, he holds seven major qualifications from six different universities in New Zealand and Australia (Massey University, University of Auckland,University of Canterbury. These span various levels in the disciplines of psychology, education, and management. His work experience revolves mainly around the military with 21 years as a Learning and Development officer in the New Zealand Defence Force. During this time he has worked in a diverse range of positions from teaching, leadership, peacekeeping, policy writing, and project management. In addition to New Zealand, he has taught and/or served in Australia, Canada, the Middle East, Singapore, and Papua New Guinea. He has also taken students on study tours throughout Asia and the Pacific. Notable trips include China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and New Caledonia. Murray is a self-confessed xenophile who loves working in multinational environments and learning more about other cultures. Murray’s doctoral thesis explored the holistic contribution of formal, non-formal, informal, self-directed, and incidental learning for adult students; Professor Simons is happily married, enjoys coaching and refereeing Judo.
